Resmen 4 ay öncenin nostaljisini yaptık. Hayır, bir de nerede bıraktıysam pek bereketli bir dönem olmamış liste yapmak için. Porcupine Tree kafası farklı bir kafadır, onların albümü bir şekilde sızdığında Last.FM de doğruluyor ki diğer albümlere pek pas vermemişiz. Sadece Richey Edwards’a saygı duruşu anlamında özel olan yeni Manic Street Preachers albümü biraz ilgi görmüş… O yüzden listeyi dolduranlar da genelde albüm olarak pek takılmadığım fakat içlerinden bazı şarkılara vurulduklarım. Örneğin “Big Black Nothing” geride bıraktığımız yılın en iyilerinden benim için…

“Yine dans edilebilir rock müzikleri ile dolu bir albüm bu. Ve ilk bakışta yine onları Franz Ferdinand oldukları için sevenleri mutlu edebilecek bir albüm. Doğal olarak da “yetti artık bu geyik post-punk, dans-rock furyası” diyenlerin pek aldırmayacağı bir albüm. Ayrıca uzun süredir sağda solda konuşulduğu gibi, elektronik seslerle dolu bir albüm. Ama kesinlikle bir “elektronik müzik” albümü değil.”

“Güzel bazı parçalar var ama ne yazık ki biraz zorlama duran bir şeyler de var bu albümde. Franz Ferdinand kitleleri hayal kırıklığına uğratmamak adına yapabileceklerinin sadece küçük bir kısmını ortaya koymuşa benziyor. Aslında bu konuda en güzel yorumlardan birini The Guardian gazetesinin eleştirmeni yapmış. “Lucid Dreams”in çılgın finali ve oradan bağlandığı hafif romantik “Dream On” için “keşke biraz daha cesur davranıp bütün albümü böyle yapsalarmış” diyor yazar. Katılmamak elde değil…”
